Betty fricken' Crocker

I have decided that I was born in the wrong time period. I enjoy knitting, crocheting, canning, baking and the so-called 'domestic arts'. I have done almost nothing but bake and can for the last couple of weeks. I've made peach cobbler, chocolate chip cookies, apple oatmeal cookies, apple bread, apple sauce, apple butter, and today, salsa. My mom visited yesterday and brought me a goodie box from my Dad. There were a ton of tomatoes, peppers- habanero, jalapeno, green chiles, red chiles, red cherry peppers, bell peppers, pimentos, anaheims, and poblanos, onions, and zucchinis.

The salsa making was delicious. I winged it, though I do remember it was ten cups of peeled, seeded and cored tomatoes, and 3 cans of tomato paste. I tossed in some garlic, salt, oregano, basil, juice from 2 limes and some peppers. A couple of jalapenos, a couple of chiles and a habanero. My fingers were on fire, but it tastes sooo good.

The peach cobbler is delish. So delish I eat it for breakfast.
