I sublimate my rage with crochet

So, that saying "Don't go to bed angry" really has a purpose. I woke up this morning angrier than I went to bed. It was lovely fuel for a 10 hour day of driving pissy hospital workers and random people around. It doesn't help that I fell asleep right around 2 and had to get up at 4:30 to be to work by 5.
I had some jackass think that banging on the door while I was checking the time and putting my hand on the door control to open the door would be a good idea, then he says to me "Maybe you should pay attention so we don't stand outside freezing to death."
Are you kidding? You were there for what? 5 seconds? I gave him the death stare and told him that he needed to have some patience. He sat in the back, so I could better give him the glare of death from my interior mirror, which I gladly did every 10 seconds or so.
I think he got the point. I also had maybe just a smidgen too much fun with the snow, and accidentally slid around a corner. He wasn't amused. I also realized halfway into my other shift that my windshield wiper fluid hose wasn't connected to the wipers and was, essentially, a big squirt gun. I didn't squirt people, but I did squirt a couple cars, which helped my mood slightly, as did watching the eagles on the Iowa river.

I need to go get the rest of the yarn for the Knot Ugly Shrug in the Happy Hooker. I have half of it done, and in my waiting have started on an ear flap hat that is kind of being made up as I go. I plan on making a scarf too, so I will have not exactly matching things, as they are all various shades of hot pink. I imagine I should go find something for dinner and then I need to go hurt myself on the trumpet. Maybe that will help.
