I am out of my mind. Between writing drill, trying to figure out what to teach my general music classes, and working on projects at home, I am going insane. I'm trying to keep the drill simple without making it boring. So far, I have 4 pages of the first song. I want to hopefully have the first song done by the end of this week, so *maybe* we can have something to march for our first home game. As far as general music goes, I'm a little lost. I don't know exactly what to do, I just have standards to go by, no complete set of books to sing out of or teach from (I have randomness) and no CD player. I have a record player and a box of old records that go with some decrepit books covered in dust. It is so unorganized in that storage room. I tried going through it but gave up. I guess it will be my ongoing project.
I have a dress that I just need to hem the skirt and sleeves to. It is a really cute wrap dress. I bought lots of yarn from Knitpicks.com (well, not a lot, just 6 skeins, which was $20 with shipping) and I love it. I love that website, they have great stuff and the prices are very comparable to what you would find in a Hobby Lobby, with more colors and stuff. I bought a gorgeous purple sock yarn, a red merino lace weight wool that will be turned into a camisole, and some dark plum cotton that will be a hoodie. I'm super excited. Top that off with the blanket I need to buy more yarn for so I can finish it, the baby stuff I plan on making for my sister, and all the awesome patterns my friend mailed me and I am set.
If only I could win the lottery so I could stay home and make things all day. :)
I plan on finishing the dress tonight, so I will post pictures later!
