She's a witch!!

Apparently, while I have been here Springfield has had more rain than they usually get in one summer, or whatever. It has also rained every single time I have been here, usually some kind of nasty storm.
My neighbor called me a witch. He was kidding, but I hope that doesn't turn into some kind of rumor. The neighbor lady across the street brought me a book to read and told me while they are gone 'here is a spare key in case it storms really bad and you want to go in our basement.' I told them I didn't like storms. They are also bringing me some fresh fruit and vegetables from "the valley" as Colorado Springs is apparently known. They're nice. I suppose I could let myself be adopted. Better than vampires or something. Last night at dinner they told me they had been married for 53 years! Maybe some day I will find someone to be with for that long. I don't really think anyone stays married for very long any more and it makes me sad.

I went into my band room today with Kostya, and well, nothing is really organized, and while I may have a zillion percussionists, I sure as hell don't have a zillion percussion instruments. For concert band/pit I have a concert bass drum, a xylophone, and a drum set. I do, however have 3 mellophones, a sousaphone and some quads, which I didn't think I would have. Tomorrow I am going to go and look at the elementary classroom, and dig through storage. I know that will be a mess.

I am all done putting my house together! Hurray! Apparently tomorrow there is a parade that goes right by my house, and a rodeo. I am excited!
